Ask any twelve campers, CITs, or counselors what Camp Windhover is, and you’ll hear a dozen different answers – it’s a community; it’s a village; it’s friends; it’s new friends; it’s fun; it’s a feeling; it’s a special place; it’s my place; it’s an oasis; it’s home away from home; it’s real life; it’s the best. The funny thing is, they’re all saying the same thing: it’s “camp,” and there is nothing else like it.
So, what is it about Camp Windhover that makes it so special? You, our camp family, new and old. Every summer, you transform this place from a bunch of buildings, woods, fields, and streams, into “camp,” a place where boys and girls, teens, and young adults have fun, make friends, create memories, and grow inside and out..

A wide range of traditional camp activities, combined with opportunities in the arts, spells F-U-N for everyone. Want to ride horses or mountain bikes, climb a rock wall, zing on a zip line, bounce on a “blob,” swim, shoot a bow, canoe, or hone your wilderness skills? How about act, dance, play drums or guitar or piano, sing, work with clay, dabble in watercolor, take and develop photos, or write a poem? Want to play soccer or kickball, four-square, basketball, or tetherball? Put on skits? Do theme days? Want to be a part of “camp”? We may be just the camp for you.
